Ajax crash driver dies; motorcyclist airlifted

Durham police said a Pickering male involved in a two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon in Ajax has succumbed to his injuries.

The 29-year-old Pickering male had been ejected from the vehicle after the collision and had been airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre in critical condition. His name is not being released at this time, police said.

Motorcyclist airlifted after serious collision

A motorcyclist from Aurora received life-threatening injuries after colliding with a vehicle west of Uxbridge on Saturday afternoon.

On May 23 at about 3:50 pm., emergency services were called to Regional Road 8 near Concession Road 3 in Uxbridge Township regarding a two-vehicle collision. A westbound motorcycle struck the back of a westbound vehicle, which had slowed down to allow another vehicle to turn into a residential driveway. After striking the back of the vehicle, the motorcyclist lost control and slid into a ditch, police said.

The 28-year-old male motorcyclist from Aurora was rushed to Uxbridge Cottage Hospital and was later airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with multiple serious, life-threatening injuries.
