Man threatens to shoot if not given drugs

Durham Police investigators are asking the public to help identify a lone male suspect who attempted to rob a Pickering pharmacy on Wednesday.

On January 22 at 4:45 pm, a man with his face covered entered the Durham Drug Pharmacy on Kingston Road in Pickering. He passed a note to an employee demanding narcotics and threatening to shoot if his demands weren’t met. Staff did not provide the drugs requested and the male then left the store, last seen walking eastbound, said a police media release.

Police attended the area but no arrests were made. The suspect is described as a male, white, 30-35 years old, wearing a black jacket, grey sweater, blue scarf and blue jeans. He was also wearing a white hat with the grey fur, it added.
