CIBC bank robber held, loot still missing

Durham Police investigators have identified the Oshawa CIBC bank robbery suspect and arrested him Wednesday night.

Robbery investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Oshawa. The suspect was arrested without incident.

The stolen money was not recovered.

He walked into the CIBC branch on Simcoe Street, demanded money and received it, and then left the bank branch on foot.

Douglas Wright, age 53 of Court Street in Oshawa, is charged with Robbery. He was held for a bail hearing.
