A Bowmanville male was taken to a trauma center after being stabbed during a home invasion on Tuesday morning.
On December 10 at 1:30 am, members of East Division officers responded to a residence near Jackman Road and Scugog Street in Bowmanville for a home invasion. According to the victim, two suspects gained entry to the residence, one armed with an axe and the other a sword, said a police media release.
The victim confronted them and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled on foot, it said.
The victim was transported to a Toronto-area hospital.
The suspects are described as both male, white, one had a mask covering his face and the other wore a dark-hooded sweatshirt and blue shoes.
Investigators will be looking into whether this was a targeted incident.
