Durham Police said a suspect fled on his bicycle on Tuesday after stealing cash from a safe at a commercial premise in Pickering.
On December 10 at 10:55 am, members of West Division responded to a robbery at M&M Food Market on Kingston Road in Pickering. The suspect arrived on a bicycle and walked into the store and proceeded to an office for employees only. The suspect entered the safe and took cash, said a police media release.
When the suspect was exiting the store, he was confronted by a female staff member and the suspect shoved her to the floor. The employee suffered minor injuries.
The suspect got back on his black road bike and rode off eastbound.
The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 50 years old, wearing a dark toque, sunglasses, green jacket and beige pants.
