Motorcyclist pronounced dead after Pickering crash

A 34-year-old male has died as the result of a collision that occurred in Pickering last night.

On Sunday, August 8, at approximately 10:56 pm, members from West Division were called to the scene of a collision involving a motorcycle and motor vehicle. The motorcycle had been travelling eastbound on Cameo Street near Sapphire Drive when it collided with a westbound motor vehicle.

The 34-year-old male motorcycle rider was transported to local hospital then transferred to a Toronto-area trauma hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured.

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to investigate.
