One does 155kmh in 80 zone, another zips by police

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported two cases of high speed driving,

Just after midnight DRPS East Division officers stopped a GMC Sierra for speeding 155 km/hr in a 80 km zone near Regional Rd 57/Boundary Rd. 23 year old man from Blackstock was charged with Stunt Driving, Speeding and registered an Alert for alcohol.

In another case, a vehicle was seized and license suspended x2

On November 3, an officer was travelling southbound on Highway 12 in Brock Township when he observed a motor vehicle travelling northbound at a high rate of speed. He attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however, the vehicle did not stop. The officer began to follow the vehicle and observed it swerving across the roadway, all while travelling at a high rate of speed.

As the officer continued to follow the vehicle, it came to a sudden stop and the officer arrested the male.

Colby Jordan, age 26, of Bracebrige, Ontario, is charged with: Dangerous Operation; Fail to Stop for Police; Stunt Driving; Careless Driving; Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available and Drive Motor Vehicle while Suspended. He was released on an Undertaking. His vehicle was seized.
