Night work on Simcoe Street North
Whitby: The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of night work on Simcoe Street North (Regional Road 2) in the City of Oshawa from July 29 to August 9.
Road resurfacing will take place on Simcoe Street North, from 30 metres north of Robert street to Russet Avenue, in Oshawa.
Lane restrictions on Adelaide West
There will be westbound lane restrictions on Adelaide Avenue West (Regional Road 58), from Grooms Avenue to Francis Street, in tOshawa until further notice.
Where: Adelaide Avenue West, from Grooms Avenue to Francis Street, in the City of Oshawa.
Why: To allow equipment access to repair a broken watermain.
Note: Residents in the immediate area may experience a temporary water service interruption or decrease in water pressure during the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
Metcalfe Street Closed
Metcalfe Street will be closed between Centre and Simcoe on Thursday July 25 for World Hepatitis C Day.
It will be closed from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
Columbus Road Closed
Columbus Road will closed between Wilson Road N. and Harmony Road N. effective July 30 until October 4.
It will be closed to replace the existing culvert in the creek with a new precast box culvert.
