Oshawa Fire Services kept busy on Sunday

Oshawa Fire Services (OFS) had to battle two fires early yesterday, with one of them resulting in six people being taken to hospital, reports said.

The first fire was at Ellesmere Court. “Crews have the fire under control and are conducting overhaul operations at this time,” said an Oshawa Fire Services tweet.

An hour later OFS tweeted: “Crews are leaving the scene on Ellesmere Crt. No injuries reported from the scene.”

The second fire took place at Albert Street in which six people suffered injuries, one serious.

Crews on scene…for a fully involved house fire, said another OFS tweet.

Crews remain on scene at 638 Albert St for a house fire. In the area of Bloor St E and Albert St. Please stay clear of the area, it added later.

The cause of the fires is under investigation.
