Oshawa GO Station west platform closed

Construction work is almost complete on the east side of the Oshawa GO Station platform, according to operator Metrolinx.

It said work has started on the installation of tactile yellow tiles and digital signs on the west side of the platform. This will mean some temporary changes to how users get on the GO until the work is complete by the end of the summer.

Metrolinx is closing the west side of the platform. Passengers can use the east side of the platform to board trains until further notice.

If users need the accessibility coach, they need to wait at the accessibility ramp to board the train. Look for signs to show you where to stand and remember to spread out along the platform to help keep everyone safe, Metrolinx said.

Metrolinx has finished installing tactile yellow tiles at the edge of the train platform to remind you how far back to stand. It has also added new digital signs on the train platform and in bus bays that will display schedule information in the future.

Boarding restrictions are no longer in effect.
