Oshawa hit-and-run car make identified

Durham police collision investigators have identified the type of vehicle involved in the serious fail-to-remain investigation from Monday night.

Police were able to collect several pieces of evidence at the collision scene and it is believed that the vehicle is a 2001 Cadillac DeVille. The vehicle will have substantial front passenger-side damage.

The 14-year-old victim remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are urging the suspect to retain a lawyer and turn themselves in to police.
