Oshawa man stabbed in abdomen, suspect fled

An Oshawa man was taken to a local hospital with a minor stab wound on Sunday evening.

On January 5 at 5:50 pm, members of Central East Division responded to the area of Simcoe and John Street in Oshawa for a stabbing. Police found the victim with a minor stab wound to his abdomen. The suspect fled on foot. Police searched the area with negative results.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect and the victim are known to each other.

The investigation is ongoing and the suspect is still at large.
