Durham Health yesterday updated the community-wide breakdown with the highest number of cases [67] in Oshawa followed by 52 in Ajax and 37 in Whitby.
Durham Region Health Department said 221 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the region since February 29, 2020.
The count on April 3 had stood at 183 cases.
Of the 221 total cases so far, 33 are hospitalized. There have been 13 deaths.
To date, there have been 28 people diagnosed with Covid-19 who have recovered from their illness, Durham Health said.
