The City of Oshawa is undertaking a redevelopment of the splash pad and playground areas at Lakeview Park, including new pathways with lighting, site furniture, and soft landscape elements such as tree plantings, lawn areas, and naturalized plantings.
The works are projected to continue until summer 2021.
How does this affect visitors?
- For public safety, a portion of the Jubilee Pavilion parking lot, park, and pathway along the waterfront will be closed and fenced during construction.
- The splash pad and playground area will be closed during construction of these areas.
- Access to beach, pergolas and main washroom building near the Jubilee Pavilion will continue to be available during construction.
- From time to time, heavy equipment will need to access the site from Simcoe Street South to Lakeview Park Avenue. Associated noise levels may increase during these times.
