An Oshawa man remains in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while he was crossing an Oshawa street on Thursday, July 18.
The accident happened at 4:15 pm on Simcoe Street South near John Street in downtown Oshawa. A 35-year-old Oshawa male was crossing Simcoe Street when he was struck by a Dodge Ram truck which was turning left onto Simcoe Street from John Street. The 33-year-old driver of the pickup stopped, remained at the scene and called 9-1-1.
The 35-year-old male pedestrian was rushed by ambulance to Lakeridge Health Oshawa with life-threatening injuries and was later transferred by air ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre. He remains in critical condition.
