Wanted Durham human trafficker arrested in Peel

A suspect wanted in a human trafficking investigation in Durham Region has been arrested in Mississauga.

On Saturday, August 17 Peel Regional Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested a Toronto male. He was wanted on Human Trafficking charges in Durham Region.

Between July 2016 and April 2018, the suspect recruited a 19-year-old female to work for him as an escort. The suspect exploited and trafficked the victim in the sex trade throughout Ontario and across the country to British Columbia.

Eron Rochester, age 22, of Bay Mills Boulevard in Toronto, is charged with: Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration; Material Benefit Trafficking Person; Procuring; Advertising Sexual Services; Trafficking in Persons; and Material Benefit from Trafficking Persons Over 18.

He was held for a bail hearing.

He may also be known as Tristan Matthews. The DRPS wants to ensure there are no other victims.
