Pickering to study beach influx after Ajax parking charge

The City of Pickering has learned of Ajax’s new waterfront paid parking program for non-residents. As a result, they recognize this may increase visitors to Pickering’s waterfront. Staff of the waterfront will closely monitor the situation and report back to Council with recommendations for consideration. Additionally, they have increased Municipal Law Enforcement presence to ensure By-law, parking, and COVID-19 regulations enforcement.

The park staff askes visitors to consider using the overflow parking lot on Annland St. off of Liverpool Rd., if visiting Beachfront Park, be mindful of physical distancing and to follow public health guidelines and to pay attention to posted signage.
