35 drivers caught in just 3 hours using cell-phones

Durham Police went on an offensive yesterday against distracted driving – and made a huge haul.

Officers from DRPS West Division conducted a short distracted driving initiative at major intersections in Ajax/Pickering Thursday.

In a matter of just three hours they fined 35 drivers who were using cell-phones while driving.

“Please put the phones away while driving,” said the police.
