Police catches up with robber… after one year

Durham Police investigators have arrested a young person and continue to look for two other suspects in an armed robbery that took place in Ajax in October last year.

On Saturday, October 13, 2018, at approximately 8:30 pm, members of West Division were called to the Finley Fine Foods on Finley Avenue in Ajax. Two employees were in the store when the three suspects entered and robbed them. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects took cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

A 16-year-old Scarborough male was arrested this week and charged with: Robbery; Disguise with Intent; Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Use Imitation Firearm. He was held for a bail hearing.

Robbery investigators continue to search for the other two suspects still wanted for this robbery.

They are described as:

Suspect #1: male, black, medium build, wearing a red Roots sweatshirt, red Roots sweatpants and white gloves, armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2: male, black, thin build, wearing a dark jacket with a grey hooded sweater underneath, blue jeans and black shoes.
