Police persuade Ajax bank robber to give up

One man has been arrested and charged in connection with a Scotiabank robbery in Ajax that occurred in August 2018.

Police located the suspect working out of province and made arrangements for him to turn himself in. On October 21, he turned himself in at Central East Division in Oshawa.

Suleiman Omar-Godane, age 25, of Mississauga is charged with: Robbery with a Firearm; Imitation Firearm – Use While Committing Offence; Disguise with Intent and Weapons Dangerous.He was held for a bail hearing.

Police are still looking for a second suspect in this incident.
