Police swarm Oshawa Centre, take man into custody

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said they had swung into action after an incident was reported at Oshawa Centre on Saturday.

“A male has been taken into custody and police will be clearing the area,” said a police alert.

Earlier, DRPS said: “There is currently a large police presence at the Oshawa Centre. The incident is contained to an area in the parking lot on the west side of the mall and there is no threat to public safety.”

No further details were released as of late last night.
