Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) turned up in force in Ajax last night on reports of gunfire being heard.
“There is a large police presence in the area of Ravenscroft Road and Delaney Drive in Ajax for reports of shots being fired,” said a police advisory.
It reported that no victims had been located, however police will continue to maintain a presence in the area.

No further information was released till late last night.
