The City of Pickering is asking residents to provide their input on a planned new housing development on Sandy Beach Road.
Universal City Six Developments Inc. has applied for a permit from municipal authorities to construct a 26-storey residential apartment building consisting of 297 units at 1010 Sandy Beach Road (see location map below)
The virtual public meeting will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 7 pm, the city said.
Residents can participate electronically by audio, or watch the meeting live streamed via the City of Pickering’s YouTube channel.
A municipal statement said although the meeting is scheduled for 7 pm, it could be delayed due to committee’s consideration of preceding agenda items.
If residents wish to address the City Development Department and the Planning & Development Committee during the electronic meeting, they will have to register with the City Clerk by 12:00 noon on the business day prior to the meeting. Visit www.pickering.ca/delegation to register or email clerks@pickering.ca. Prospective participants are asked to provide the telephone number they wish to be called at so that they can be connected via audio when it is their turn to make a delegation, the city said.
