R.I.D.E. campaign launch in Durham next week

The DRPS and local agencies are launching the 2019 Festive R.I.D.E Campaign next week with a strong, visual message about the dangers of impaired driving.

Hosted by Ajax Fire and Emergency Services, this year’s launch will feature a R.I.D.E line on Salem Road in Ajax involving Traffic Services Branch and R.I.D.E officers, said a DRPS statement.

Featured speakers include Regional Chair John Henry, Ajax Mayor Shaun Collier, Police Deputy Chief Todd Rollauer, Ajax Deputy Fire Chief Dwayne Snell, Region of Durham Paramedic Service Brock Bodashefsky, Durham Region Transit General Manager Bill Holmes and members of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
