Rash driver crashes into construction zone, rolls over

A driver was yesterday charged with careless driving – speeding, disobeying a stop sign and for crashing in a construction zone in Seagrave in the Township of Scugog.

Please proceed with caution, obey all warning signs/people/devices directing traffic through a construction zone, advised a DRPS North Division alert.

Racing Past Police Station

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) East Division yesterday reported a motorist caught speeding next to their headquarters on Regional Highwayy 2 and Maple Grove Road, in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.

Driving past the police station (image below) at 111kmh in a posted 70kmh will get your car impounded for 14 days with 30-day licence suspension, a $2,000 fine and 6 demerit points, police said.
