There are lane restrictions on Durham Highway 2 in Bowmanville from July 8 to 12 in order to repair maintenance holes.
Lane restrictions are between Clarington Boulevard and Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57), in the Municipality of Clarington.
Road and Lane Closures
Road and lane closures will take place on Rudell Road, Sunset Boulevard and Lakeview Road starting on July 15 and continuing for the remainder of 2019 for underground works on behalf of Region of Durham.
Detours available for local traffic only.
Taunton Road East in Oshawa
Lane restrictions will start on July 10 on Taunton Road East (Regional Road 4) at Ritson Road North (Regional Road 16), in Oshawa for watermain repairs.
Where: Westbound on Taunton Road East, from Ritson Road North to 40 metres east of Ritson Road North.
Why: To allow equipment access to repair a broken watermain and the surrounding area.
Note: Residents and businesses in the immediate area may experience a temporary water service interruption or decrease in water pressure during the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
Scugog Lane Restrictions
The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2), Reach Street (Regional Road 8), and road closures on Coulter Street and Reach Street, in the Township of Scugog.
When: Daily lane restrictions from July 8 to November, 2019. Coulter Street will be closed for two weeks in August and Reach Street will be closed for one weekend in September.
Lane Restrictions: Simcoe Street, from Beech Street to Riverview Drive and Reach Street, from Bigelow Street to Simcoe Street.
Road Closures: Coulter Street, from Simcoe Street to 100 metres east of Simcoe Street and Reach Street, at Simcoe Street.
Why: Asphalt removal, storm sewer replacement, watermain replacement, curb and sidewalk replacement, hot mix paving, traffic signals, and new pavement markings.
Service Disruption at Regional HQ garage
There will be a scheduled service disruption at: 605 Rossland Road, Whitby, Regional Headquarters parking garage
The disruption will be from: Tuesday, June 11 at 6 pm until Tuesday, June 11 at 8 pm.
The power will be shut down to the parking garage. Elevators and lighting will not be available. Anyone accessing their vehicle in the parking garage during this time is advised to use caution.
