Road restrictions in Ajax, Oshawa, Pickering

The Works Department of the Regional Municipality of Durham has announced lane restrictions in Oshawa, Ajax and Pickering to accommodate construction, repairs and filming.

Oshawa residents are of lane restrictions on Bloor Street West (Regional Road 22) and Park Road South.

When: Ongoing until March 4.

Where:

  • Bloor Street West, near the intersection of Park Road South.
  • Left hand turning lane on Park Road South, just south of Bloor Street West.

Why: Hydrant replacement and road paving.

Drivers have been asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.

Road Closure

Where: Oshawa Blvd will be closed between St. Eloi Ave and Vimy Ave

When: March 5 – expected to be completed by late afternoon.

Access to local traffic and emergency vehicles will be provided at all times.

Update: Lane Restrictions in Ajax

There are ongoing lane restrictions on Westney Road North (Regional Road 31) near the intersection of Kingston Road West (Highway 2) in the Town of Ajax.

When: March 3 to April 29.

Where: Westney Road will have lane restrictions in the southbound curb lanes at the following locations:

  • From the intersection of Kingston Road West to about 250 metres south of the intersection.
  • From 100 metres south of Millington Crescent to Hettersley Drive.

Why: To safely install a noise barrier wall.

Concession Road 5 temporary closure

In Pickering, there will be a temporary road closure of Concession Road 5 between Church Street and Greenwood Road.

Purpose: Filming

Duration: Friday, March 6 – 11 am to 11 pm

Emergency vehicles and winter maintenance operations will have access at all times.
