Whitby: The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is constructing a new roundabout on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23), at the Regional Road 12/Pefferlaw Road intersection.
The intersection is being re-constructed into a single-lane roundabout.
Work begins this week in the Township of Brock and Township of Georgina, and should be complete by mid-November. There will be daily lane restrictions.
Lake Ridge Road will be closed south of Regional Road 12 for approximately six weeks beginning July 26. Following this, Lake Ridge Road will be closed north of Regional Road 12 for approximately six weeks. Detours will be posted.
During these closures, the intersection will operate as a three-way stop.
