A 41-year-old Ajax male was taken to a Toronto trauma centre after a serious collision in Ajax Tuesday afternoon.
At about 2:50 pm, police were called to Harwood Avenue North and Kerrison Drive West in Ajax for a collision involving a white Nissan Rogue and a black Suzuki motorcycle.
The Nissan was northbound on Harwood Avenue and was making a left turn on Kerrison Drive. The motorcycle was travelling southbound on Harwood Avenue prior to the collision in the intersection.
The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Toronto-area hospital. The female driver of the Nissan and three family members were taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons with one passenger with a minor injury.
The 39-year-old driver of the Nissan was charged with Careless Driving.
