Two major collisions were reported in Durham yesterday, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
Reports said in each of the two collisions, one injured person was airlifted to a trauma centre.
One of the road crashes took place at Kingston Road and Walnut Lane in Pickering.
Police closed the road in both directions for the collision investigation.
The other collision took place in Clarington, police said.
Taunton Road was closed between Bethesda Road and Darlington/Clarke Townline Road due to a collision investigation.
