Your assistance is needed in seven shooting cases

Toronto Police Service is asking the public if anyone has any knowledge about six July shootings in the area of Lawrence Heights,

Case #2019-1326279: On Monday July 15 at 4:47 pm officers responded to a sound of gunshots call at 36 Pengarth Court.

It is alleged that the victims were sitting in an outdoor common area near the parking lot of Pengarth Court. The suspects entered into Pengarth Court in a silver SUV and drove in a circle through the parking lot before parking.

They exited the vehicle, approached the victims and fired several shots in the victims’ direction.

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver SUV, possibly an older model four-door Acura MDX with a sunroof, roof rack and silver stock rims

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1: Male, 5’10 with a skinny build wearing a black sweater, grey pants and a baseball hat
Suspect #2: Male, black, skinny build, 6′, wearing a white t-shirt, black bandana and grey shorts.

Case #2019 – 1406355: On Friday, July 26 at 2:38 pm officers responded to a shooting call in Tundra Lane and Varna Drive area.

A construction crew showed windows of a home had multiple bullet holes. Officers found seven bullet holes in the two window panes. The unit was vacant at the time of the shooting. No victims have come forward at this time.

Case #2019 – 1408369: On Friday, July 26 at 7:10 pm, officers responded to a sound of gunshots call at 88 Ridgevale Drive.

It is alleged that the victim was walking westbound along Ridgevale Drive, when a black four-door Hyundai sedan with several occupants approached the victim and one or more of the occupants began shooting at the victim.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black four-door Hyundai sedan.

Case #2019-1410266: On Saturday, July 27 at 12:56 am,. officers responded to a shooting call in the area of Lawrence Ave. W. and Varna Drive.

It is reported that the victims were driving along Varna Drive near Lawrence Avenue West.

One of the victims observed the suspect vehicle was a white coloured SUV driving northbound on Varna Drive. Muzzle flashes were observed from the passenger window. The suspects continued to fire multiple shots as the suspects drove past the victims.

Case #2019-1410267: On Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 am, officers responded to a shooting call in the area of Bathurst St. and Lawrence Ave. W.

It is alleged that the suspects from the incident just prior in Lawrence Heights were in the area of Lawrence Ave West and Bathurst Street.

Gunfire was observed coming from the suspect vehicle directed at another vehicle with an ride-sharing driver with a passenger on board.

Case #2019 – 1430858: On Monday, July 29 at 11:51 pm, officers responded to a shooting call in the area of Celt Avenue & Highland Hill.

A vehicle was heard accelerating eastbound on Celt Avenue, when approximately four to five gun shots were heard.

A dark-coloured sedan was observed making a thee-point turn then accelerating Eastbound on Celt Avenue

Case #2019 – 1431230: On Tuesday July 30th at 2:06 am officers responded to a shooting call in the area of Ranee Ave. and Varna Drive.

The victims were driving a vehicle in the Lawrence Heights area, when a dark-coloured truck started to follow the victims’ vehicle.

A the victims approached Varna Drive and Ranee Avenue the truck pulled up beside them and started shooting. The victims’ vehicle was hit multiple times by gunshots.

These investigations are ongoing and there may be more victims.
