Shots fired after street altercation in Oshawa

Durham police investigators are asking witnesses to come forward after several gunshots were heard on an Oshawa street Sunday morning.

On May 17 at about 5:30 am, several gun shots were heard in the area of Wentworth Street West and Oxford Street in Oshawa. Officers spoke with several witnesses who witnessed an altercation amongst several males before the gunshots. All the males involved fled on foot, police said.

Police searched the area with negative results. Police continue to look for one the suspect who is only described as a male with dark clothing.

No injuries were reported.
