Shots fired at unoccupied Oshawa home

Durham police are investigating after a home was struck by gunfire in Oshawa on Friday.

On June 19 at about 10:40 pm, members of Central East Division were called to a residential area near Birchcliffe Avenue and Lakeview Park Avenue in Oshawa for reports of shots fired.

Several witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area. Police located an unoccupied residence that had damage as a result of gunshots. There were no reported injuries. Forensic investigators attended the residence to collect evidence and the investigation is ongoing, said a police media release.
