Woman flies off motorbike, seriously hurt

A 35-year-old female from Goodwood suffered serious injuries after being thrown from her motorcycle in a single-vehicle collision in Uxbridge on Sunday.

On June 21 just before 12 pm, the motorcyclist was eastbound on Uxbridge Concession Road 3 east of York/Durham Townline when she lost control of her motorcycle and struck the guardrail. She was thrown from her black Kawasaki motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.

The female was transported to a Toronto trauma center by air ambulance for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation. Anyone with new information about the collision is asked to contact Cst. Mullen of North Division at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2033.
