Souped-up red car driver in host of traffic violations

Last week was not, perhaps, a very good one for at least one Durham driver.

Not only did the person get his beloved red car ditry (images top and below) from the muck on the roads after the rains, the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) were not nice to the motorist either.

DRPS North Division officers charged the driver with a host of traffic violations.

“Driver charged with fail to display two plates, obstruct plate (plate cover), window tint, improper muffler, unnecessary noise and no insurance card,” said a police alert.

Learn about vehicle equipment regulations at http://Ontario.ca, they added.

Meanwhile, DRPS Traffic Services said a nightshift enforcement officer found this driver (below) going 113 in a posted 70.

This driver had countless convictions under the HTA.

The motorist got a 14-day impound and a 30-day driving licence suspension for this offence as well as a court date where their driving history can be used as a factor with sentencing, police said.
