Stabbing suspect gives self up after partner’s arrest

Durham police investigators have arrested two suspects for a stabbing in Beaverton.

On Wednesday, September 1, investigators from North Division with the assistance of York Regional Police arrested the female suspect in York region and the male suspect turned himself in at Central East Division in Oshawa on September 2. The stabbing victim received medical treatment and has been released from hospital.

Jason Kell, age 35 of Woodfield Drive in Pefferlaw is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon; Weapons Dangerous and Mischief under $5,000.

Joanne Scott, age 58 of Highway 48 in Mount Albert, is charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault.

They were both held for bail hearings.
