Suspect wanted in Pickering stabbing

Durham police investigators are trying to identify a suspect from a stabbing incident in Pickering over the weekend.

On Saturday, August 29 at about 7:45 pm, members of West Division were called regarding an injured male on Glenanna Road in Pickering. A 21-year-old male was located with serious injuries. The stabbing occurred after an altercation between several males. The male suspect fled on foot. Officers searched the area with negative results, said a police statement.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a Toronto-area trauma center with life-threatening injuries. He remains stable in hospital.

The suspect is described as a male with a black hoodie, black pants and white shoes.

Police are asking anyone with video surveillance or dash cam video from the time of the incident to contact the investigating officers.

Beaverton Stabbing

Investigators are looking for two suspects after a male was stabbed overnight in Brock township.

On August 31 at approximately 11:30 pm, members of North Division responded to a hotel on Osborne Street in Beaverton. Officers located a 36-year-old male with a stab wound. The victim was in his hotel room when he was confronted by the known suspect. An altercation took place before the victim was stabbed. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a female.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This incident was not a random act.

The investigation is continuing and investigators are making attempts to locate the two suspects.
