Staff arrive to find bullet holes on store windows

Durham Police are looking for suspects following a shooting at a Whitby business.

On Thursday, January 23, at about 8:45 am, members of Central West Division say they responded to a shooting at a business in the area of Hopkins Street and Nichol Avenue. Police say they were contacted after employees observed bullet holes through the front windows of the business.

A review of security footage confirmed that on Wednesday, January 22, at about 11:50 pm, a male fired a handgun at the business before fleeing the area in a silver SUV. The business was closed at the time of the shooting, and no injuries have been reported, say police.
