Stunt driving at 162 kmh early Newcastle morning

A 22-year old man has been caught for stunt driving at 401-Morgans Road in Newcastle.

When residents could still be in bed, this early riser got up, revved his car and took off. He was caught at 7.26 am last Thursday.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said a sergeant was on the 401 in the area of Morgans Road, when a vehicle shot past him doing 162 kms.

The sergeant reportedly caught up the youth. The man from Oshawa has been charged with stunt driving and the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days and his driver’s licence suspended for seven days.
