‘Thanks for owl you do DRPS’

Durham Regional Police (DRPS) is not only known for the special affection its officers have for their partner police service dogs, but also for the care of animals in distress.

The latest effort was for one of our feathery friends.

Officers from the East Division of the DRPS reported this little guy found himself in the middle of Townline Road.

“Not a WISE choice. He was safely moved into the forested area by police, he did not appear to be injured. We believe he’d say “thanks for owl you do DRPS”, said a tweet.

With pun intended DRPS Central East Division responded: “Whooo would have ever expected that during their shift!”
