Thefts from cars on the rise; ‘high’ driver…

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said all its divisions across the region are seeing an increase in theft from vehicles.

“Most cases the suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles especially with valuables in plain sight. In some incidents, victims have lost – wallets, money, laptops, cellphone, etc.,” said a DRPS tweet.

Meanwhile, one of the drivers, a female was arrested at a collision. Its believed that she was impaired by drugs. The vehicles were taken off the roadways shortly and the impaired investigation will continue. Good thing she didn’t hurt anyone. No injuries reported. #tweetalong pic.twitter.com/mYkRdllpMf
