Durham Police officers located a stolen vehicle and several altered credit cards after a traffic stop in Pickering on Friday morning.
On January 10 at 2:50 am, members of West Division conducted a traffic stop on Brock Street and Pickering Parkway in Pickering. The vehicle, a Toyota Rav4 was stolen from Toronto and the three occupants were arrested at the scene. Further investigation also resulted in officers seizing altered credit cards and a credit card scanning device.
Arnel Alviar, age 47, of Weston Road in Toronto, Edison Elmido, age 38, of Maple Gate Road in Pickering and Diana Peralta, age 34, of Dennis Drive in Toronto face a combined 21 charges including: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000; Deal with Device for a Commission of Offence; Possess Identity Info with Interference Fraud; Purposely Possess Identity Info Fraud was Intended; Forge Credit Card and Possession of Credit Card Obtained by Crime.
They were all held for bail hearings.
