Three weed thieves who stabbed owner held

Durham police investigators have arrested three suspects and continue to look for a fourth after a stabbing in September 2019.

On September 21, at about 3:45 am, the victim was awoken by unknown suspects stealing cannabis plants from his property. The victim was stabbed after he tried to confront them. Investigators identified four of the suspects and arrested three of them. A warrant was issued for the fourth suspect.

Michelle Christie, age 33 of Quebec Street in Oshawa, Joshua Larcenaire, age 27 of Kingsview Court in Courtice, Mile Lavcanski, age 37 of Highcastle Road in Scarborough, have been charged with a combined 20 charges including: Robbery and Possession of Stolen Property. Larcenaire and Lavcanski were held for a bail hearing. Christie was released on an Undertaking.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Justin Lewis, age 26, of Oshawa, for Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000; Weapons Dangerous; Breach of Undertaking; Assault with a Weapon and Disguise with Intent.
