Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday closed off part of Victoria Street in Whitby after a collision involving a transit bus and a car.
Reports said the driver of the car died in the collision [see DR tweet below]. Durham police confirmed a fatality in the collision.
“ROAD CLOSURE WHITBY – Victoria is closed from Hopkins to South Blair for a motor vehicle accident investigation. Will update any further closures,” said a DRPS tweet yesterday evening.
“This closure will be a few hours while our Collision Investigators gather evidence at this fatal collision involving a car and transit bus,” it added.
