Two men are facing charges after several vehicles were broken into overnight in Pickering on Friday.
On September 20 at 1:40 am police were called to a residence in the area of Woodsmere and Garland Crescent in Pickering. The complainant reported two males were peering into vehicles. Police conducted a search of the area and located two male suspects nearby sitting on an electrical box, out of breath. They were found with stolen property connected to seven recent vehicle break-ins.
A 16-year-old male and 14-year-old male, both from Toronto, are charged with Theft from Motor Vehicle Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.
The 14-year-old was held for a bail hearing; the 16-year-old was released on a Promise to Appear.
