Two separate arrests for drug trafficking, one a 17-year old

Durham police yesterday said they have arrested two drug traffickers in separate incidents from Oshawa and Ajax.

A male youth has been arrested and a loaded firearm was seized after a break-and-enter call in Oshawa, police said.

On Sunday, October 19 at about 12 pm, members from Central East Division responded to a break-and-enter call in the area of Kenneth Avenue and William Street East. Officers located a male inside the residence. The male provided a false identity and was arrested. A loaded firearm, a quantity of drugs and cash were seized.

A 17-year-old male from Toronto is charged with several offences. He was held for a bail hearing.

Ajax Arrest

A male is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation in Ajax.

In September, members of the West Division Crime Team began an investigation into a male suspected of trafficking drugs in Ajax.

On Thursday, October 16, members of the West Division Crime Team completed their investigation after executing a search warrant at a residence in Ajax.  The suspect male was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident.  A quantity of drugs was seized.

The suspect, age 42 from Ajax was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
