Two separate vehicle arson acts in Oshawa

Durham police is investigating two separate arson incidents over this weekend in Oshawa.

On Sunday, March 29 at about 9:30 am, members of Central East Division were called to a residence in the area of Adelaide Avenue West and Fernhill Boulevard in Oshawa for a fire call. Officers responded to the area and confirmed that a white Chrysler Jeep was deliberately set ablaze in a driveway, said a police statement.

On the same date, at around 1 pm, members attended an address on Gibbons Street, south of Adelaide Avenue West where a second vehicle, a white Chrysler PT Cruiser was located damaged after being deliberately set on fire, the statement said.

There were no injuries in either incident.

Police searched the area with negative results. There are no suspect descriptors at this time.

Investigators are looking for the public’s help with any information regarding these arson acts. “If you have surveillance video in this area, please contact our investigators,” police said.
