Two stabbings in Oshawa, one victim critical

A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a stabbing incident on Southgate Drive in Oshawa, said Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) in a tweet.

Officers from DRPS Central West Division arrived at a stabbing incident on Southgate Drive in Oshawa. One male transported to a Toronto-area trauma center. One person in custody, it said.

“The victim, a male in his 30s, suffered life-threatening injuries, the tweet added.

Apparently, the suspect fled to Whitby where the arrest took place.

“Expect delays at Brock St and Consumers in Whitby for a police investigation. Possible suspect vehicle from a stabbing incident. One in custody,” said another DRPS tweet.

Albert Street stabbing

Durham Police said they are looking for a 28-year-old Oshawa male, wanted in a stabbing incident Wednesday night.

On February 5 just after 4 pm, the accused forcibly entered a residence on Albert Street in Oshawa, where he became involved in an altercation with a second male inside the residence. The second male was assaulted and suffered several stab wounds. He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The victim and the accused are known to each other, police said in a media release.

A warrant has been issued for Baldwin Clarke of Oshawa. He faces charges of: Break and Enter Dwelling; Assault with a Weapon; Assault Cause Bodily Harm; Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purposes and Uttering Death Threats.
