Where do you want the Rainbow Crosswalk?

Oshawa has announced that it is looking for feedback from the community on the location of a Rainbow Crosswalk in the city.

Three locations being considered are:

  • Option A – main entrance to City Hall: the pedestrian crosswalk that is adjacent to the main entrance to City Hall and The Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery.
  • Option B – Downtown Oshawa: the pedestrian crosswalk located at the intersection of William Street and Mary Street on the east side of Mary Street on William Street and adjacent to the YMCA.
  • Option C – Lakeview Park: the pedestrian crosswalk located on Lakeview Park Avenue just west of the Jubilee Pavilion.

Residents were invited to provide feedback by:

  • completing a feedback form online on Connect Oshawa (www.connectoshawa.ca/rainbowcrosswalk); or,
  • completing a feedback form on paper at Service Oshawa, located at City Hall (50 Centre St. S.) during regular business hours.

Feedback will be received until 12:00 pm on April 6 and will be considered in a report to Community Services Committee scheduled for spring 2020, said a city announcement.
