An 18-year-old male camp counsellor has been charged with inappropriately touching a six-year-old female at a week-long summer camp in Whitby.
The incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday, August 20 at a reptile zoo facility in Whitby.
The six-year-old female victim was enrolled in a week-long summer camp when the single incident occurred. When the accusation came forward, the facility was notified and the employee was immediately suspended from work. The camp administrators have co-operated fully with this investigation.
Quinn McGrath, age 18, of Oshawa, has been charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. He was held for a bail hearing.
